Please contact our Customer Service at the number located at the back of your credit card.

If I lost my mobile phone, can I provide a temporary number while waiting for my new number?
Yes, please contact and update us immediately with your temporary mobile number by calling CIMB Customer Service at the number located at the back of your credit card.

What should I do if I lost my mobile phone and credit card at the same time?
Please contact CIMB Customer Service at +603 6204 7788 immediately.

If I lost my mobile phone, can I provide a temporary number while waiting for my new number?

If I maintain 2 mobile phone numbers, will I be able to receive transaction alerts on both numbers?
No, transaction alerts will only be sent to one mobile phone number registered with us.

If I have 2 credit cards, can I register 2 different mobile numbers for each card?
You may register for 2 different mobile phone numbers only if you hold 2 cards from both CIMB Bank and CIMB Islamic Bank.

Can I request to receive transaction alerts to a different mobile phone number aside from the Secure ePay code registered mobile number?
No, both the transaction alerts and Secure ePay code will be sent to only one mobile number as registered in our system for security purposes.

Can my supplementary receive transaction alerts on his/her mobile number?
Yes, your supplementary cardholder will receive transaction alerts on his/her mobile phone number registered with us.

I am currently residing abroad, will I be able to receive transaction alerts?
Yes , you will still receive transaction alerts sent to the mobile phone registered with us via SMS at our cost for all local charges only.

If I am traveling abroad, will I be able to receive transaction alertsss? Do I need to pay for the SMS charges?
Yes, you will still receive transaction alerts via SMS at our cost for all local charges but not the roaming charges. Other prevailing telco charges to be borne by cardholders.

Can I change the threshold limit set by the Bank and what is the procedure?
Yes, you may do so by contacting CIMB Customer Service at the number located at the back of your credit card.

If I have upgraded or converted my card, can I set a different alerts threshold for the new card?
Yes, you may do so by calling CIMB Customer Service at the number located at the back of your credit card.

Can I authorize my Third Party Authorization as the receiver of the SMS?
No, only the cardholder is allowed to receive SMS alerts.

If have a few CIMB Bank credit cards, will the transaction alerts state the card number for each transaction?
Yes but only the last 4 digit of your card number is indicated.

When I spend abroad, will the amount be stated in local currency of the transaction or in MYR? If it is in MYR, is it the confirmed amount or an indicative amount?
It will indicate the country's local currency amount where the transaction took place and not in MYR.

If I did not receive the transaction alerts, can I request for the Bank to resend?
No, the transaction alerts is real time and we do not resend.

What should I do if I receive a transaction alerts not done by me?
Please contact CIMB Customer Service number located at the back of your credit card to block your card immediately. You will be required to complete and submit a dispute form.

Will I receive transaction alerts for my auto-debit transactions?
Yes, only for the first approved transaction after you have registered for auto debit.

Will I receive transaction alerts for IPP performed over-the-counter?
Yes, only for the first time of full transaction amount approved. You will not receive the alerts for all subsequent monthly IPP amount throughout the tenure.

Is the SMS applicable for eDebit Card?
No, e-Debit Card cardholders will not receive transaction alerts.
