What is CIMB TravelCurrency?
CIMB TravelCurrency is a service provided by CIMB Bank Berhad which allows customers to order foreign currency notes online. You may collect the foreign currency notes at any CIMB Bank Currency Exchange locations on your preferred collection date or to a maximum of up to 60 days from ordering date.

Is there any cut-off time for my order?
Cut-off time is at 4.00 pm daily.
Order placed on Tuesday at 3:00 pm would be ready for collection on Wednesday morning onwards depending on the selected CIMB Bank Currency Exchange operation hours.
Order placed on Tuesday at 5:00 pm would be ready for collection on Thursday morning onwards depending on the selected CIMB Bank Currency Exchange operation hours.
What is the maximum period of collection date that I can select during order placement?
60 days from the order date including weekends and public holidays.
What is the minimum transaction amount for my order?

RM 5,000 per day.
However, please note that this transaction will share the same transaction limit with the existing Bill Payment via Deposit account transaction limit.
You are able to make order more than RM5,000 by using the same screen. Restriction applies for order more than RM5,000. The system will capture your transaction but it will not be processed immediately. Our officer will contact you to confirm your order within 2 working days. Please take note that the rates may vary at the time of the call and prevailing rate will be used instead.
I want specific notes. Can I request for it?
You are not able to request for specific notes during ordering. However, you may request this during collection.
Do note that although we make every effort to meet denomination requests, it is not always possible, and therefore, we cannot guarantee your request. Should we be unable to provide you with exactly what you have requested, we will do our utmost to ensure it is as close to your request as possible.
Is there any service charge for ordering?
No. However, there is a Cancellation Fee for cancellation of order.
Can I update the collector’s details after I have completed the order?
No, you are not allowed to update collector's details after order completion. Hence, it is highly advisable to thoroughly check your details before confirming your order.
Is TAC required for ordering?
Yes, TAC is required for this ordering.

Will I get any notification once I have completed my order?
Yes. You will receive notification via email and SMS once you have completed your order successfully. SMS will be sent to the mobile number you have provided during the ordering process.
My order status is 'Order On Hold'. What does this mean?
CIMB TravelCurrency is considered a high risk transaction and will be monitored by our Consumer Contact Centre and subsequently submitted for clearance. Our Consumer Contact Centre will contact you if there is a need to obtain further authentication. This process is usually completed within a few minutes. However, it may be extended under certain circumstances in case additional verification is required.
Who can collect the physical foreign currency notes at CIMB Bank Currency Exchange?
The collector stated in the collector’s detail during ordering must collect the physical notes at the selected CIMB Bank Currency Exchange. No third party collection is allowed.
Should the details of the collector vary from the details in the system, the bank has the right to seek alternative document or proceed to cancel the transaction at its discretion. This would attract a service charge of RM25.
How to collect the physical foreign currency notes at CIMB Currency Exchange?
Please show the SMS from CIMB that contains the Order ID, together with your identification document. Both of these must match with the collector’s details captured during order placement. Customer verification will be performed at the Bureau de Change and the officer will pass the foreign currency notes to you once the verification is successful.
Where can I collect the physical foreign currency notes?
You can collect them at the selected CIMB Bank Currency Exchange (as listed in the table), during ordering.
Can I reschedule my collection date if there is any change in my trip or flight?
Yes. You are allowed to reschedule the collection date online ONCE only, and it must be 2 days before your initial collection date and up to a maximum of 60 days from the initial order date including weekends and public holidays.
However, if you did not turn up on the collection date, our officer will contact you on the next day and you can reschedule the collection date up to 60 days from the day you placed the order.
If you would like to reschedule the collection date, you may contact our Consumer Contact Centre and your request will be processed within 2 working days.
How to reschedule my collection date?
Login to CIMB Clicks and go to ‘Apply & Invest> CIMB Travel Currency Order History. Click on the Order ID link to view your order details. You will be able to see ‘Edit Collection Date’ button if your order is allowed to be rescheduled.
If you have ordered without logging in to CIMB Clicks, access the CIMB TravelCurrency page to find the ‘View Order’ menu. Do have your initial order details with you to fill up the required information. TAC will be required to complete the rescheduled process.
Can I cancel my order?
Yes. If you wish to cancel your order, you must do it 2 days before the collection date (excluding Wilayah Persekutuan public holidays).

How to cancel my order?
Login to CIMB Clicks and go to ‘Apply & Invest> CIMB Travel Currency Order History. Click on the Order ID link to view your order details. You will be able to see ‘Cancel Order’ button if your order is allowed to be cancelled.
If you have ordered without logging in to CIMB Clicks, access the CIMB TravelCurrency page to find the ‘View Order’ menu. Have your initial order details with you to fill up the necessary info. A TAC is required to complete the cancellation process.
Is there any service charge for cancellation?
Yes. The service charge is RM25 and it is subjected to taxes (including but not limited to goods and services tax and/or sales and services tax).
How is the total refund amount calculated?
The total refund amount will be calculated based on the lowest rate by comparing the original sell rate during ordering and buy rate on the cancellation date. Cancellation fee of RM25 plus taxes (including but not limited to goods and services tax and/or sales and services tax) would apply.
When and how can I get back my refund after I have successfully cancelled the order?
You will be refunded 3 to 5 working days after the cancellation date and it will be credited into the account used during order placement.
