How do I pay bills via CIMB Clicks?

  1. Login to CIMB Clicks. Go to Pay & Transfer > Pay Bills
  2. Enter the Biller Name or Favourite Biller to search for the biller you would like to pay to
  3. Select from the list to proceed
  4. Enter the rest of the details
  5. To confirm the payment, TAC is required

Tips: Save this biller to My Favourites and no more TAC is required in the future

Can't find the biller?

It could be due to one of the reasons below.

  1. The biller is not registered with CIMB Clicks
  2. The biller could have registered with a different name
  3. Abbreviation is not part of the biller’s name

What is Multiple Bill Payment?

Multiple Bill Payment is an option that allows customer to make multiple bill payments in a single submission.

How many bills will I be able to pay in a single transaction?

A maximum number of 10 bills can be paid in a single transaction.

Will I need to request for multiple TAC to accommodate multiple payments?

No, you are only required to enter a single TAC to make your payments.

Assuming I don't want to perform multiple payments but a single payment. Is that possible?

Yes, that’s possible.

Am I given the option to remove the bills I have selected before I make payments?

Yes, this function is available.

Can I schedule a bill payment?

Yes, you are allowed to schedule a single or recurring bill payment. The transactions will be processed at 5pm on your scheduled date.

How do I cancel my schedule bill payment?

Login to CIMB Clicks. Go to Pay & Transfer > Scheduled Transactions as shown below.

At pending history, you can view and cancel your pending schedule payment.

Can I use other than my Current or Savings account to make bill payment?

Yes, you can use Credit Card, Debit Card and Kwik Prepaid Card.

Are there additional charges to be incurred if I use Credit Card?

No, there is no additional charge for bill payment via Credit Card.

What is the daily transaction limit for bill payment?

For CIMB Preferred customers, your daily limit will be RM60,000. For other customers, your daily limit will be RM30,000.

For Kwik Card Account, your maximum daily limit will be RM4,999.00

 

Is the daily transaction limit of RM60,000 (for CIMB Preferred customer) or RM30,000 (for other customers) being shared between my CIMB Bank/Islamic Current or Saving accounts and my Credit Card limit?

No, the limit is NOT shared. Bill Payment limit from Credit Card is based on the available credit limit OR up to daily transaction limit, whichever is lower.

Where can I change my transaction limit?

Login to CIMB Clicks. Go to Services > Limits & Alerts > Clicks Transaction Limit > Bill Payment

Where can I view my bill payment transaction record?

Login to CIMB Clicks. Go to Pay & Transfer. To view your bill payment transaction record, click ‘Transaction History’ as shown below:

At the point of investigation, which reference number should I use when I am speaking to the Call Center?

There will be a unique reference number generated for each transaction, which can be used to further your investigation. E.g.

Where can I view My Favourite list of billers?

Login to CIMB Clicks. Go to Pay & Transfer. To view your favourite billers, click ‘Manage Favourites’ as shown below:

The page will display a list of Active Bills where you can delete, add, edit billers as well as pay bills.

How do I set my favourite billers?

Just follow the easy steps as below: -

  1. Logon to CIMB Clicks Internet Banking
  2. Go to Pay & Transfer
  3. Manage Favourites
  4. Click on Add Favourite
  5. Select biller from the list
  6. Fill up the fields
  7. Enter TAC
  8. Confirm

 

What are the charges for this bill payment service?

There will be service charges for the selected billers. Charges will be displayed on the screen upon making payment online.

I can't seem to pay my CIMB Hire Purchase loan which I have saved under My Favourites > Billers. Why is this so?

This is because we have upgraded our system and from 3 February 2014 onwards, all CIMB Hire Purchase payments must now be paid via Funds Transfer.

Go to My Accounts > Loan/Financing and you will see your CIMB Hire Purchase account number. Click the 'Pay Now' button next to it and follow the instructions.

You can also pay by going to Transfer > Within CIMB Bank. Type in the account number or select from the list (if it's your own account or you have saved it under My Favourites > CIMB Accounts) and follow the instructions.

I don’t see my CIMB Hire Purchase account number when I check under My Accounts > Loan/Financing. Why is this so?

This could be because the CIMB Hire Purchase loan that you are paying is for a third party.

If you have saved this CIMB Hire Purchase account number under My Accounts > My Favourites > Billers, you will now need to save it under My Accounts > My Favourites > CIMB Accounts and do funds transfer to make your hire purchase payment.

I have previously set up Scheduled Transactions using CIMB Hire Purchase as biller. Do I need to set up new Scheduled Transactions?

 Yes. Your Scheduled Transactions set up under Bill Payments for CIMB Hire Purchase payments is no longer valid effective 5.00 pm, 31 Jan 2014. Please setup your new Scheduled Transaction by going to Settings > Scheduled Transactions.

Can I use my supplementary Credit Card to pay my bills?

Principle cardholder can only make bill payment via his/her principle card. The supplementary card will be filtered in the ‘Payment From’ dropdown list. If supplementary cardholder login to Clicks, he/she is allowed to pay bill via his/her own supplementary card.

What is the daily transaction limit for bill payment via Credit Card?

For CIMB Preferred customers, your daily limit will be RM60,000. For other customers, your daily limit will be RM30,000.

What is the daily purchase/spend limit for bill payment via Debit Card?

Your Debit Card daily purchase/spend limit is shared for all retail purchases, including bill payment. The maximum daily limit is RM5,000 which you can set via CIMB Clicks or CIMB ATM at any time.

*Note: The ATM withdrawal limit is different from your Debit Card Purchase/spend limit.

Do I require TAC for bill payment via Debit Card?

Yes, TAC is required for this transaction.

Can I schedule a bill payment via Debit Card?

Yes, you are allowed to schedule a single or recurring bill payment via your Debit Card. The transactions will be processed at 5pm on your scheduled date.

Will I incur any additional charge for this service?

No, there is no additional charge for bill payment via Debit Card.

Do I have to register for this service?

No, there is no registration required for this service. However, before you carry out your transaction, please do ensure that your Debit Card (issued before 25 February 2013) has been enabled for Point-of-Sale (POS) and set the card daily purchase/spend limit according to your preference, i.e. between RM1,000 to RM5,000.

The card daily limit setting can be changed at any time via CIMB Clicks or CIMB ATM. Also, it is crucial to maintain sufficient funds in the Current/Savings account that is tagged to your Debit Card to facilitate the transaction.

Can I make multiple bill payments via Debit Card?

Yes, you are allowed to pay up to a maximum of 10 billers per transaction.

What are the benefits of bill payment via Debit Card?

You will earn Debit Card Bonus Points when paying with your Debit Card (RM2 = 1 Bonus Point), which can be redeemed for a myriad of gifts from the Points Redemption Catalogue. The catalogue is available on the CIMB Bank and CIMB Clicks websites.

My transaction was not successful. What is/are the possible reason(s)?

  • Please ensure that your Debit Card (cards issued before 25 February 2013) has been enabled for Point Of Sale (POS) transactions.
  • Remember to set your Debit Card daily purchase/spend limit according to your requirements (Min. RM1,000, Max. RM5,000).
  • The debit card is linked to the designated Current/Savings Account. Therefore, there must be sufficient funds in this account for the transaction to be processed.

Can I pay all the existing bills in Clicks via my Debit Card?

Yes, you can pay to the same list of billers as per your Credit Card.
